Antwerp port pioneers night work - biggest terminals operate 24/5 from March 20 2017
As of 20 March the container terminals on the Left bank will be accessible day and night, with the Deurganck dock open around the clock. With the new measure the terminal operators seek to spread out the truck traffic on the terminals and help to reduce traffic congestion in and around Antwerp during rush hours.

MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET) and DP World Antwerp Gateway are extending their opening times from 0500 hours (DP World) and 0530 (MPET) non-stop through to Saturday morning at 0530. This means that hauliers can now load and unload their containers even after 2230 hours on quay 1700 (DP World) and quay 1742 (MPET). Containers can be delivered and collected during the week in a constant flow, thus smoothing out the peak periods.
